Has Four Years of Olson Made Any Postive Impact ??

I think we are worse off than when Olson took office and the Prince George's County Government is not any better off either. Most of the municipalities that I have talked to and New Carrollton have not been able to develop or annex properties in a sensible way that would benefit the County and the citizens in the long run.We need Focused, Efficient,& Effective Leadership(FEEL). My position on most of the issues has not changed very much over the last four years.

There are at least three(3) major issue that I will concentrate on after being elected.

(1.)Prince Georges County and its Municipalities have been denied the HOME RULE RIGHTS that were given to all other Counties and Municipalities in 1954 within the state and because of this arrangement the tax payers suffer in an oppressive"taxation without representation" environment that encourages unaccountable actions.

(2)WSSC keeps jamming its' rate increases down our throats for infrastructure improvements while the County Executive and County Council fail to recognize that capital expenditures(infrastructure improvements) are not operating expenditures and therefore they should not be compensated for them in their rate base. WSSC's budget contained over 40% in capital improvements which should be reimbursed based on a Land Value Tax which would be more progressive than rate increases that hurt the poor in Prince Georges County.Based on all the demographic information that I have provided to the County Executives office, our residents are overcharged by this state mandated commission.

(3) The reinstate or judicial review of the funding cuts to State Highway User Revenues to Counties and Cities within the state of Maryland. This is a LAW that has been violated repeatedly. These are highway entitlements set up for local governments based on a formula which only allows for a 25% reduction but everybody experienced a 90% cuts except Baltimore City.

Eric Olson's campaign funds represented over 40% from out of state liberal special interest groups and over 70% where outside of Prince Georges County. Is he representing the people in the 3rd District of Prince George's County or special interest groups ????I am Democratic because I believe that the government is of the people,by the people and for the people. My campaign is totally funded by me.Those voters in the 3rd district may send a contribution to PAC for JAW,PO Box 1244,Lanham,MD 20703.

In addition, any special interest questionnaire or survey of three pages or less will be answered for a contribution of $500 or more.Questionnaires more than three pages require a contribution of $1,000 or more. District 3 residents may e-mail me at askjimnc@juno.com with their questions, comments or issues for free. Please include your name, address and a valid phone number to receive a response.
